Feb 23 Atlanta, GA Georgia Dome James Stewart designed track (very technical).
Eastern Lites class shows the battle is on - lots of closely matched riders for great racing. All the names have changed from last season. Villopoto having problems running 7th and goes down, then gets hit, comes away with a bad wrist. Jumps back on his bike to ride more but eventually pulls out. KTM's making a big showing - two on the podium!
Reed with the holeshot, Millsaps all over Reed - Windham back in 6th or so. Windham moves up into 4th, he's pushing for sure. Millsaps regrouping and going back after Reed. (Lap 4) Ramsey holding onto 4th after a great start. Reed goes down! Up and starting bike. Back in at 11th spot. Millsaps might get 1st win. Windham knows he has a shot at winning from behind, passes Ramsey to take 2nd. Reed in 11th. Millsaps almost throws it away. 13 laps to go for Windham to take over first. Ferry is in 5th but has the fastest lap time tonight. 12 to go. Millsaps has a 5 second lead, he's known to make mistakes. Reed not running fast lap times, the guys following Millsaps must be waiting for a mistake. Ferry stalls the bike and looses places. Ramsey still in 3rd., Short 4th. This one is still anyone's guess, 7 laps to go. Honda hasn't won since Carmichael rode a Honda - looks like Honda 1, 2, 3! Windham will pick up points on Reed. Short and Ferry battle the last few corners. Millsaps gets his first Supercross class win!

Mar 7 Daytona Beach, FL Daytona Int. Speedway It's Daytona! A complete mud .... no, lake fest. So much rain it was like riding through a lake with bumps sticking out of it. So deep the riders had their feet in deep water on the starting gate. Designed by RC, though that unfortunately didn't matter by race time. Chad Reed was the fastest rider in the complete slop, though Windham was second fastest and gave CR a battle early on. Reed had a huge lead but continued to push fast through the deep water ... not a good decision as his bike stopped 3 turns from the finish. After a long wait Windham came buy to take the win. An incredible race to watch, horrible to race, and a race that should have been cancelled.
1. K. Windham (CRF450R) 2. D. Millsaps (CRF450R) 3. J. Marsack (CRF450R) 4. D. Vuillemin (RMZ450) 5. A. Balbi (CRF450R) - Reed 7th after penalty for passing re-entering track.

It's Dungey, Hill, Windham, Short, Reed who is sick. Hill pushes Dungey out and takes the lead. Windham pushing Dungey now. Reed now into 4th, pushing Windham. Reed passes, he's still on the move with the fastest lap times. Reed now passes Dungey for 2nd. (7 laps in) Reed crashes in the whoops, goes back to 8th. Hill, Dungey, Windham falling behind the leaders. Lots of riders going down, 11 laps in. Reed not going anywhere, still in 8th and not attaching.

Reed crashes very hard in practice - goes to the ER. Decides to race, if he can. Doesn't come out for parade lap, takes two laps in his heat race, also takes a partial lap in the LCQ then pulls in. He has a provisional to go to the main. It's anybody's guess on what will happen tonight. Villopoto looks very fast tonight. He walks away with it as Canard falters.
Sorby holeshots, Hahn, Millsaps, Ferry. Windham 10th. Reed rolling slow in 21st. Millsaps passes quickly. Millsaps, Ferry, Hahn, Windham, Hill, Sorby on lap 3. Millsaps with the fastest lap times. Dungy gets out front and stays there, a huge pileup in the 2nd corner. Lawrence gets to third and stays there for the first part of the race - he has a 6 point lead and will win the championship if he holds tight. Metcalf in 2nd. Lawrence gets past Metcalf, Hepler and Metcalf hit, Metcalf goes off track. If Hepler can hold it he'll win the championship - he has certainly matured this season, as well as gotten really fast. Hepler gets 2nd and the championship. He said it helped tremendously having his teammate Hepler) behind him in 3rd for the final part of the race. /
Reed and Hill go down in the first corner - dead last. Windham grabs the lead on the first lap. Windham catches a tuff-block cover and it wedges in his rear brake lever. It locks, he has to stop, pull it out, and re-start the bike. He gets back on in 4th. 7 laps in, Reed is up to 6th - 16 seconds behind leader. Short (riding well) took the holeshot and still leads on lap 9. Millsaps in 2nd, Ferry  in 3rd. Windham's lap times are the fastest - he is catching the lead group, lapprs coming up. Millsaps can't quite catch Short. 7 laps to go, if Kevin could get to the front it would be his best ride ever. He's got 2 Hondas in front of him and he is a couple seconds back! Windham tries to pass Ferry and doesn't get it, then he does. Reed is now in 5th behind Ferry and getting much faster! Windham now on Millsaps - shows him a wheel and gets buy - Reed just passed Ferry! 3 laps to go! This could be Short's first win, but Windham passes him for the lead. Reed later passes to take 3rd (from dead last while injured) Windham makes a mistake and almost goes off. Reed pushing Short hard, passes him, Short rams Reed!!! Reed can't get Short, finally does. Windham wins, Reed second. Short 3rd. - Reed is fuming at Short. One of the best races ever.
