Jan 20 Anaheim 2, CA Angel Stadium Carmichael takes his first race off. Wey gets the hole shot, Stewart soon takes the lead. Reed and Tedesco battling for the first few laps. Reed passes and goes after Wey. Gets by after a couple of laps and starts to pull away. Ferry up there, but Vuillemin who had good lap times all the way back in 17th early on. Ramsey in an unbelievable 18th. Windham starts in 12th and starts moving up - 6th place about half way through. Tedesco falls back to about 10th at the half way point. 12 laps in Stewart has 10 second lead over Reed, Reed 4 seconds over Wey who is 5 seconds ahead of Ferry. Stewart begin to lap the field on about lap 13. Vuillemin goes down in turn 4 which has claimed a lot of riders. Mike Byrne in 5th, Windham still in 6th. Stewart wins his third in a row!

Villopoto spanks them! Pourcel, who reportedly injured or even broke his hand in earlier practice, started poorly and pulled out early in the final.

Jan 27 San Francisco, CA SBC Park Reed holeshots and almost over jumps the first triple, Carmichael 2nd, Stewart 3rd. Reed pulling out a bit, Stewart bobbles, Rickey on his tail. Windham 17th, what's up. JS catches Reed, the battle is on. Battling ...... passes through the whoops. Reed trying to stay with him, passes him back a few corners later. Reed takes the whoop line away from JS. Stewart trying to pass, almost throws it away. RC having a few stumbles in 3rd. Already catching lapped traffic only a few laps in. Sorby blocks reed. Stewart down hard!!! Bike cartwheels, still running. Getting up in 3rd. 8 laps into the race. Stewart still looking to get back into the battle. RC on Reeds tail. Stewart catching the leaders. RC trying to pass Reed - Reed goes down - the bikes still running. Stewart 3 seconds behind RC in the lead. RC the only leader who hasn't gone down. Tedesco down over a triple. RC checking out, Wey in 4th, Ferry 5th, Preston 6th. RC checking out through traffic. Vuillemin 7th, Windham 10th. RC 6 seconds ahead now. They are lapping 6th and 7th place - what a difference in speeds on the track! Everyone having their trouble with the track. Ferry passes Wey for 4th. 3 laps to go. Last lap, RC has 8 sec. lead. RC will win, James and Reed lucky to even finish after their crashes - let alone be on the podium.

Gosselaar and Villopoto out front on the start. Gosselaar looses the front and goes down, Villopoto out front riding better than all the rest. J. Grant 2nd., Weimer 3rd., Boniface 4th. Gosselaar drops out. Boniface falls way back, J. Hill in 4th. A number of riders are bumping into each other. Lap 9 of 15 - conditions slippery and rutted. Villopoto about 1 sec. faster than anybody, has an 8 sec. lead. Gosselaar being checked out by the medical crew.

Feb 3 Anaheim 3, CA Angel Stadium No Carmichael tonight. Wey gets the holeshot and drifts out, Stewart passes to take the lead - Reed in second. The order then goes Ferry, Wey, Tedesco, Byrne, Vuillemin, Ramsey, Voss. Windham 10th. Stewart already over 2 seconds in the lead. Wow, the two leaders near a 56 flat lap time - nobody close to that as they are in the high 59s plus. Reed isn't fading. Ferry by himself in 3rd. Stewart looses it and almost slides out on lap 5. Reed catches and almost passes - the race is on. Reed passes Stewart - the crowd goes nuts. Stewart STUFFS him back big in turn 5. Ferry is now on their tail. Reed has the fastest race lap time! Reed closing in on James again - they are running slow lap times now. Stewart not perfectly smooth, having his problems up front. Now a 2 second gap, Windham up to 7th. Lappers slowing Reed - we're at half way. Vuillemin in 12th for some reason, slow lap times. Reed runs a faster lap time, but the gap is big. Reed not as smooth through some of the track, Ferry still by himself in 3rd. Then Wey, Byrne, Windham, Ramsey, Tedesco. A  2 + second gap with 4 laps to go, the two leaders have identical fastest lap times. One lap to go - Reed catches the back end of Stewart! Stewart almost goes down. Stewart Wins. (The crowd boos Stewart for his pass on Reed while he's being interviewed after the race)

Villopoto starts about 8th, gets to 6th on the first lap. A down rider (Weimer) from the start causes a red flag ... might be the a gift to Villopoto. Lawrence and Hansen were out front, just what they needed. Weimer is going back to the line for the re-start. Villopoto hole shots, Lawrence in 9th. Grant in 2nd. Boniface who has been so strong goes down. Villopoto pulling away easily. Running order Villopoto, Grant, Davalos, Gosselaar, Adams - Lamoine in the back. The race winds down with few position changes.

Feb 10 Houston, TX Reliant Stadium Stewart on another planet! Reed off his mark but still faster than the rest to take second. Windham led a bunch of laps but then faded, looking very tired. Ferry proved he's ready to compete and fit. Where oh where will the season take us? Will the Eastern Lites riders be as fast as the West? Will Villopoto get his chance to smoke them all in Vegas?

Feb 17 San Diego, CA Qualcomm Stadium Vuillemin sabotages again and gets stuck in the gate. Tedesco, Reed, Stewart, Windham, Ferry. Reed scrubs and passes Tedesco in the air. Stewart gets into 2nd a little after that on lap two. Stewart pushing Reed. Windham trying to take third, he does it! Tedesco, Ferry, Marsack, Byrne, Sorby. 3 laps in. Stewart closes the gap and passes, Reed looses his drive and stays in 2nd. Vuillemin has speed but he's now in 12th - when will he ride a clean main??? Reed less than a second back. Ferry passes Tedesco for 4th. Will Windham be able to hold his position this week? The leaders fastest lap times are nearly the same. Reed loosing time - Stewart goes down .. hits a tough block. Reed almost hits him, Stewart still not back on the track - Stewart goes into the mechanics stand to straiten the bars. Stewart now in about 8th. Stewart passes Vuillemin into 7th. Reed looking good with a 10 second lead. Still Reed, Ferry, Windham, Tedesco, Byrne. James moves into 6th. Stewart 4 seconds behind 5th place. San Diego is always good for Reed. Stewart bumps Byrne in the corner and passes for 5th. Stewarts fastest lap time is only about .6 seconds faster than Reed.  1 lap to go - Reed takes it! Windham makes it to the podium! Now it will be 12 points between Reed and Stewart.

Gosselaar takes the holeshot with Villopoto close. RV takes the lead just after the whoops. Davalos 3rd, Hansen 4th, Lawrence 5th. Lomoine, Weimer, Grant way back. Things running pretty steady .. Davalos starting to push Gosselaar. This track isn't easy to pass on and there isn't much of it going on. Lawrence into third. 5 laps to go, Villopoto looking to win the West Championship tonight! Lawrence takes second. Hill chasing Gosselaar hard, almost gets him. Hill again .... doesn't get him. Villopoto takes the win and the championship! Gosselaar get a podium. Lawrence proves again he's faster than every rider except Villopoto - the laps time prove it as well.

The East Lites class begins next week!
Feb 24 Atlanta, GA Georgia Dome Reed takes the holeshot with Bubba and RC behind. Stewart passes a few corners later, Reed fights back and they bump. RC trying to pass Reed. 2nd lap - Tedesco 4th, Ramsey 5th, KW 6th. Ferry in 13th. Reed goes down - looses the front end, back up quickly, Tedesco in 3rd. Carpenter cases it and goes down. Stewart pulling away - 3 second gap already. Reed in 5th, Windham in 4th. Ramsey crashed out. 5 laps in, RC has the fastest lap time. Positions staying the same, except Reed passes KW to 4th - 16 seconds back. Ferry up to 6th. Lap 10. RC catching Stewart slowly, now 2.1 seconds back. 3rd place is now 18 seconds back - Reed 22 seconds back. Reed could get a 3rd, but that would be it unless someone goes down. Ferry down, washes the front end. RC passes a lapper - it's Vuillemin in 9th. Reed tracking Ted. RC getting closer to Stewart, 70,000 fans cheering.  A clear track - the race is on. Reed pushing Ted at the same time. Reed bangs Ted and passes. Ted bangs him back and pushes Reed high. Reed takes third back. Millsaps in 17th. Reed holding onto 3rd. The lead by Stewart is up to 2.6 seconds. 1 lap to go - they finish it out with no changes.

M. Alessi holeshots for the lead, but instantly goes to 3rd. Townley, Dungey, Sipes, Alessi on lap two. J. Alessi in 15th with Laninovich. Dungy pulling out a lead, Alessi going backwards quickly. Lange stalls it, Laninovich falls. 6 laps in. Jesseman coming up to 5th. Townley drops out with bike problems. We all have a lot of new names to learn for the East Lites class! M. Alessi goes down. Dungey has an 8 second lead 12 laps in. Sipes goes down in 3rd. Lange into second ... 1 lap to go. A rookie is going to win the first Eastern race!

Mar 3 St. Louis, MO Edward Jones Dome Reed takes the start, Stewart 2nd, RC back a bit. Tedesco and Ferry go down hard together after only a few corners. Just after this, Reed and Stewart hit and go down. Reed gets it started faster and gets going behind RC. Stewart way back after getting the bike started. RC takes the lead on lap 4, Reed 5th, Stewart in 12th. It's RC, Ramsey, Sorby, Reed Millsaps, Windham .. Stewart in 10th. Reed move into second. Stewart quickly moves into 6th ... it's only the 7th lap. Stewart passes Windham and is 9 seconds off the lead. It looks like all of Stewart hard passes on Reed were just all paid back at once. Stewart now behind Reed in 3rd, Millsaps stalls out. RC has a 6 second lead. Ramsey 4th, Windham 5th. Stewart all over Reed at the half way point. Stewart will make a hard pass if needed for sure. It's the same spot as they went down .... Stewart takes him to the blocks and passes. Reed trying to hang with him. RC now has over a 10 second lead. Stewart 2 seconds ahead of Reed. Lots of riders making mistakes or having problems, Reed's best lap time is nothing close to RC and Stewart. Last lap coming up, the part timer should win another. Stewart pissed, Reed taking none of it and shoves Stewart after the race. Lets not forget the many stuffs Stewart has put on Reed this season with zero retaliation. Stewart cheered and not when interviewed. RC says he got a gift with the win. Stewart cool and collected during his interview. Reed says he simply bumped back while passing like he's been passed by Stewart regularly. Says he's not going to be a pushover any longer. RC sharp enough to know and mention that he knows it's a roller coaster for his team when he comes and goes during the season, so he's glad to get the win for the team. He mentions it all started in Florida (where his last race will be next week) racing on Y-zingers.

Reed holeshots, gets passed and passes back. Stewart 4th, RC now into 2nd. Langston behind Stewart. RC trys to pass Reed doesn't do it. Now triples into the corner to take the lead. Stewart 3rd. Gibson 4th, then Langston, Tedesco, Vuillemin. Stewart still trying to get past Reed - taking much longer than normal for him. Langston to 4th - onto lap 4. Reed can't triple, comes up short - Stewart goes by. 4 laps in, a 2 second lead by RC. The fastest lap so far is RC. RC, Stew, Reed, Lang, Ted, Gibson. Stewart now with the fastest lap time - into lap 6. Reed now falling back after coming up short. Stewart gains in the whoops and is behind RC. On RC's rear wheel. Ferry into 6th, Windham into 7th. - half way through. Rider down, Stewart clips him and gets by ok - but looses time. Stewart catches him again, 11 laps out of 20 gone. Now lapping riders. RC looks back, Stewart passes .. almost. Stewart right back and held off again. Stewart triples and passes RC. Clean side by side racing for four corners. RC hanging onto Stewart. Millsaps lapped in 12th. Running order remains the same in back. 14 laps in. RC to the wheel of Stewart. Tedesco into 4th. Passing lappers - 4 to go. RC trys to pass, the door is shut. Tries again, side by side - the whoops - Stewart pulls out, clean track ahead. 7th and 8th place will be passed next. Lap 18, they are going to lap Windham in 8th! RC makes a mistake, stays up - 1 lap to go. RC trying, but not on the rear tire. Last corner, Stewart wins.

Hahn takes the start, then a bunch of riders go down - the race is red flagged on the first lap. Sipes and Jesseman down.  The re-start: Sipes out, Dungey out. Laninovich out front, Townley 3rd. Lange pushing hard. Lan, Jess, Kiniry, Townley, Morais, Alessi, Alessi. Hahn in 17th. M. Alessi moving up. Jess gaining on Lan for the lead. Jess passes for the lead. Townley has the fastest lap time in 3rd. It's now a 1 second lead. Now Jess has the fastest lap time - half way through the 15 laps. Laninovich knocks down Townley. Townley back up in tenth, a 5 second lead with 5 laps to go. M. Alessi pushing hard for 2nd place, Alessi gets second. M. Alessi now with the fastest lap time. Morais takes 3rd. Alessi within distance to take the lead. 1 corner to go, Alessi falls down in the last corner and finishes 4th!!!

Mar 24 Indianapolis, IN RCA Dome  Ferry gets the holeshot ..... .Stewart is at the back, 2 positions from last, Reed is out front. Stewart has quickly gone from 19th to 4th! Ferry still second. Reed still has a big lead on lap 6. Stewart catching Ferry. Stewart is blitzing ... Reed hits a tough block, then Stewart hits it. 8 laps in. Will Stewart catch Reed - from nearly last to first? About a 5+ second lead. almost half way now. James is Mr. triple tonight, much faster than anyone. Reed 45.2 , 45.3 for Stewart. Voss gets hung up. Gap is a straight long - he'll catch him. Reed, Stewart, Ferry. The crowd is on it's feet. Stewart catches Reed, on his rear wheel. Stewart triples but doesn't make up much time. The battle is on. Stewart triple triples to pass reed out of turn 4 on the 14th lap. Reed trying to get back at Stewart. Stewart makes a mistake but Reed doesn't get by.. almost. Lap 16. Ferry 19 seconds behind in 3rd. Reed tries to triple triple but barely makes it.  Lapped traffic ahead (8th and 9th place). A 1.8 second gap. Langston in 4th, good for him after his return. Reed triple triples again, barely make the corner - he's trying hard. The white flag is out! Stewart comes from 2 positions from last to take the win. Reed second, Ferry 3rd, Langston 4th, Tedesco 5th. Stewart was extremely happy with the win, said he would have settled for 2nd if he had to. Reed said e wished he'd triple tripled earlier in the race and that little mistakes may have made the difference tonight.

Mar 31 Irving, TX Texas Stadium Short gets the holeshot, Stewart then Reed. Langston down in the first corner, Vuillemin having problems. Reed going after Stewart. Tedesco and Summey come together. Short still leads in his second race back. Stewart pressuring. Short holding his own in first - Stewart passes, Short tries to get him back. Reed on the wheel of Short. Reed takes second. Then it's Millsaps, Ferry, Marsack, Byrne. Windham, Langston and Vuillemin in the back. Stewart tripling, Reed following the lead and tripling.  Reed pulls a faster lap time than Stewart. Tedesco crashes over the finish line. Reed camping on Stewart. Summey down. The lead is 8/10 of a second. Half way, 10 laps in. Coming into traffic now. A 1.9 second lead. Ferry passes to take 3rd. Windham has come up to 8th. A 2.6 second lead now, the track is down to the plywood in many spots. 16 laps in, the lead is getting bigger. Reed back but not giving up, now 5 bikes back! Stewart only wins by 8/10 of a second. Reeds fastest lap was his last lap.

Nobody is close to Stewart's lap times in the heats. The start -  it's Stewart, Ferry, Tedesco. Then Short passes Tedesco. Then Burn, Reed, Vuillemin. Ferry trying to stay with Stewart. Lap 4. It's a 3.3 second lead already for James. Four riders battling for 3rd. Reed passes Tedesco - Tedesco then looses his concentration. Stewart, Ferry, Short, Reed, Windham, Tedesco, Bryn, Voss - 7 laps in. Reed catches Short on lap 8. Reed passes in the same place as Tedesco. Windham riding his best for this year - 4th behind Reed. Tedesco goes down and gets back up in 9th. If Ferry doesn't pass the lappers quickly he'll be caught. Windham is camped on Reeds rear. Reed catching Ferry, Windham fading a bit - Reed passes Ferry in the same spot as the others. Ferry falling off the pace, Windham on the move. Near the end of the race now. Millsaps has hurt his hand. White flag is out, a huge lead for Stewart, Byrne goes down. The finishing order is Stewart, Reed, Ferry, Windham, Short, Vuillemin, Voss.

This race will determine the Lites East championship! Dungey gets the holeshot, Morais in second, then Laninovich and Townley. Dungey holds the lead for lap number 1. Morais stalls in turn 4! This moves Townley up. 4 laps in, Morais moves into 7th and he's on fire. Kiniry goes down in front of Morais. Townley now pushing harder on lap 7. Morais needs to pass 2 riders for the championship at this point. Dungey with a 3.8 second lead. It's Dungey , Laninovich, Townley, Hahn, Smith, Morais. Townley passes Laninovich, Morais goes into 5th - he needs to get 3rd place now. Lap 11. Lapped traffic now with 3 laps to go. Morais is a bit back from the riders he needs to pass. Townley can win the championship in 1 more lap, Morais has too far to go. Dungey wins it, Townley in 2nd wins the championship, Hahn 3rd, then Laninovich, Morais.
