About the ReplayXD Camera System ...
The Replay XD 1080 HD camera system was designed from a clean
slate taking advantage of the companies history of action sports
camera development. They managed to put full HD into a very small
package.
The development team was able to pack incredible HD video
capture in a small self-contained package. This includes the memory
card, battery, microphone, and on-camera video and still photo
settings. In fact, the Replay XD1080
is the smallest and lightest full HD action-camera on the market -
it even shoots 720 video at 60 frames per second, something that
aids fast action capture tremendously. The camera also features a water-resistant, hard anodized, rugged
aluminum housing for extreme adventures.

The replay XD1080 features
a high-strength aerospace aluminum body (Mil-Spec hard-anodized) for
extreme durability to withstand the inherent demands of action
sports. Weather-resistance is also a must when dealing
with action-cameras, so the Replay XD1080 features a double o-ring
sealed lens bezel, rear cap, and top push buttons to keep out the
harsh elements
Operating the camera is easy - just two buttons!
One for powering the unit ON/OFF and one for Start/Stop. Simply turn
it ON and Press Record. The built-in LED & Vibration Feedback tell
you that you’re ready to go. And here are the many selectable modes possible
with the Replay: 1080P@30fps, 960P@30fps, 720P@60fps, 720@30fps,
Still photo taking every 1, 5, 10 or 15 seconds. There's also Internal Audio as well as External
Audio (with accessory cord), Rec, Stop, Play, Skip Forward, Skip Reverse, Clip File
(creates a separate file as you continue recording), and Live Video
Out. And here's what possibly matters most, you set the mode once (right on the back of the camera)
and it sticks. There’s no need to count button presses or reset your
settings each time you use the Replay XD1080 the modes are color coded and there is a guide on the rear cap of the camera as well. If you forget what
mode you're in, just look inside the rear cover for a visual
reminder.
When you start capturing video, the XD1080 features class
leading optics. Never before has an action-camera featured such a
high quality lens. With its custom designed wide angle 135º,
6-element, f3.1 lens, and anti-glare coating this lens is
finely-tuned to match the 5MP CMOS sensor for better clarity,
accurate color, and minimal image distortion. If this isn't enough
to get you excited about this incredible new camera, there are
custom settings that can be made in addition to the on-board
controls. Simply edit a text file on your memory card and you can
change things like bit rate, white balance, focus location, and
more. This means you can customize almost everything if you would
like - to reduce file size, capture an even better image or extend
battery life.
Much effort went into developing, engineering, and testing
the right combination of acoustic materials and microphones to
suppress wind noise while still capturing realistic audio. For
the extra critical audio situation they built in an External
Audio option to connect high quality Lav Mics, Ext. Audio
sources, or other In-car Radio Communication through a standard
3.5mm Mini-jack adapter. (*External Audio Line-In available via

The Replay
XD1080 can be mounted practically anywhere due to its small
form-factor and available accessory mounts. There are two mounts included with
each system to get you recording immediately. One will work well on
flat surfaces, the other for slightly rounded locations like the
side panel of a car or a helmet. For additional needs, Reply offers
a full line of custom professional mounts.
The Replay XD1080 is
the first to stream full 1080P HD through the built-in HDMI out
connector. You can record and stream your video simultaneously or
just stream your video straight to an external HD recorder. This is
compatible with: Live streaming via HDMI microwave, WiFi, 4G
Transmitters & HDMI In HD Recording Decks.
Replay XD1080 also features a removable front lens bezel to
accept the ProLens 37MM Adapter Lens & Filter Kit. There will soon
even be a tearoff system for the camera as well as a lens cap and
more.
