Shocker, Yamaha introduces all new, cruiser styled, luxury tourer!
Yamaha delivers an all-new, full-dress touring motorcycle with classic style and luxury features.
Yamaha unveils its all new, full-dress, 79 cubic inch, touring bike with redesigned chassis, plush touring features, classic style and smooth power.The Venture receives the classic look of the Royal Star, and its Venture Royale derived engine produces 98 horsepower. The engine delivers a classic motorcycle feel and now features a counter balancer and is solid mounted in an all-new frame, which allows for larger 32-millimeter carburetors and a fuel tank that holds a full six gallons. This gives the Venture a touring range of more than 225 miles. Also the internal gear ratios have been changed to better match the engine character - more grunt down low.
The Venture features large comfortable seats for rider and passenger, spacious trunk and saddlebags with smaller miscellaneous
storage compartments, AM/FM stereo, tape deck, CB with intercom system and easy to use cruise control. Exceptional weather protection is provided by the wide windshield, upper and lower cowling and wind deflectors.
Developed for the Star motorcycle line, the new Venture completes Yamaha's cruiser line with models ranging from the V-Star, a 40 cubic inch cruiser, to this latest full-dress touring bike. The 1999 Venture will be competitively priced and available at dealers nationwide in December/January 1998/99 and comes in Titanium Grey/Marble Silver and Bordeaux Red/Shimmering Silver.
As part of the Royal Star ownership experience, Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. offers the Royal Star Road Service membership. The service membership is a unique component of the Venture's standard five-year, unlimited mileage warranty, unmatched by any motorcycle manufacturer. The Royal Star Road Service includes a 24-hour, toll free service line, 24-hour roadside assistance, 24-hour emergency towing, locksmith service, dealer locator service, trip interruption benefits, and a customized trip planning service.
