California Stone
Spartan and essential, the California Stone reflects an earlier generation of motorcycle design, when riders stripped everything they felt to be superfluous from a standard bike. The result was super-fast "bobbers", the ancestors of all of today’s cruisers. The California Stone is directly inspired by these bobbers – young, free and unconventional. It has a simple and essential back-to-basics character, rough, solid and strong --a temperament emphasized by the
new model name, "Stone."

As both a "naked" motorcycle and a "build it yourself" touring machine, the California Stone takes the California series into a wider range of popularity.  The California Stone captures an essential part of the market with its charm and flexibility.  Its relative low price makes it an entry point for many younger motorcyclists as well as providing a highly versatile base for those seeking a custom bike or city commuter.

The Stone features a number of innovations that are new to the Guzzi California model line. The handlebars are now 30 mm in diameter with new handgrips and electric controls to improve riding comfort.  The gearbox has also been revised, with a reduction in shift throw and effort. Neutral is easier to locate and the lever rubbers are new and more efficient. Traveling is more comfortable, with modified calibration of the rear shock absorber (also equipped with new springs) and a new, more comfortable saddle. The frame and rear swingarm have been modified to allow a wider cross-section tire to be fitted. The side stand has been redesigned to make it more ergonomic and easier to position. A new molding around the rear shock adds to the bikes appearance.

Make no mistake: the Stone is a California in every way – reduced to the essentials, but without losing even a hint of its charisma. The engine is still the legendary 90° V twin, in its most recent incarnation.  It is an engine with excellent torque - 70 ft/lbs at 5,000 rpm, setting the record for its class. The frame is the classic detachable tubular steel duplex cradle, for a rock-solid grip on the road. Two disk brakes, 320 mm at the front, 282 mm at the rear, provide stopping power.

Colors
Reflecting its name, the Stone is available in four color variations: Slate Black, Porphyry Grey, Flint Orange and Limestone White.

California Special Sport
Born to travel, the California Special Sport has a double soul.

Innovations include the robust 30 mm diameter handlebars with handgrips and practical electric controls, now more ergonomic. On long trips, the rider and passenger can appreciate the modified calibration of the rear shock absorbers with new springs. Traveling is made even more comfortable by the improved saddle.  Improvements to the gearbox are designed to make shifting even easier and lighter. The shift throw and effort are reduced and the neutral position is easier to find. Gear lever rubbers have also been replaced for a "gentler" and more sensitive action. The redesigned frame and swingarm leave more space for the rear wheel. Particularly practical is the new side stand, simpler to position for easier parking and with a new pivot cover. Finally, the new instrumentation mount is classic and elegant.

The heart of the bike is the same indestructible 90° V twin that helped create the California legend. Other components--such as the unmistakable eagle’s beak chromed profile mudguard and convex chromed side fairings --give this majestic cruiser a great look.

The possibilities for customization are many, with exclusive accessories that include chromed luggage rack and backrest, engine cover, pannier kit and leather top box.

The California Special Sport offers, as standard equipment, a braking system that no other motorcycle in this category can boast, all to the advantage of stability and safety. The front brake consists of twin Brembo ORO series stainless steel floating 320 mm discs with 4 differentiated piston calipers and a single 282 mm stainless steel rear fixed disc with a parallel 2 piston caliper.

The braking system includes Bosch brake proportioning and a delay valve.  These devices act simultaneously on the front and rear discs, according to a predetermined cut-in curve, modulating hydraulic pressure in the relative circuits as a function of the load carried by the vehicle.

Colors
In one color combo, the black contrasts and emphasizes the red, symbol of the Moto Guzzi sporty temperament.  Teamed with gold, the basic black fortifies the refined and precious color.

California EV
The Moto Guzzi California EV represents a cruiser that is the culmination of custom touring and roadster styling.  Frequently viewed as the most powerful cruisers in their size range, all Guzzi California models combine their power with exceptional handling and ground clearance.  The result is a long-range motorcycle with the power and handling characteristics more often found only in sport models.

Touring in style requires comfort as well, and here the EV shines.  The anatomically shaped saddle accommodates rider and passenger with molded support.  Floorboards permit the rider to change foot positions many times a day.  Wide handlebars with anti-vibration mounting give excellent control, and permit long stretches between rest stops.  Standard equipment includes a built-in back rest and luggage rack for either solo or two-up comfort.

The California EV is powered by the same 1064 CC 90 degree V-twin common to all the California models.  Delivering 74 HP at 6,400 rpm, this highly evolved version of our classic engine benefits greatly from the Magneti Marelli IAW Multipoint electronic phased sequential fuel injection.  Breathing through 40mm throttle bodies, the EV is able to sustain remarkable cruising speeds, accurate throttle response, and good fuel consumption.

The California EV's engine also benefits from a host of technical and appearance refinements, including: --Polished Valve Covers --Alloy Cylinder Head Guards --Chrome Generator Cover --Chrome Plated Stainless Steel Exhaust System

The chassis of the California EV begins with our traditional duplex tubular steel frame. Careful placement of the swing arm pivot point with respect to the drive shaft u-joint controls and minimizes drive-shaft induced suspension inputs without complicated linkages. Generous steering tube dimensions give the front fork greater triangulation to minimize fork deflection.  The detachable engine cradle, expedites engine service.

Attached to this frame are components fit for sport bike performance levels.  Large diameter (45mm) Marzocchi forks, with adjustable damping and beautifully polished lower legs, deliver a supple and tunable ride.  A steering damper is also standard equipment.

Quality and adjustability continues in the rear of this touring mount, with Sach-Boge rear shocks.  Rebound and spring pre-load may be individually set.

The California EV features tubeless, BBS steel spoked wheels.  The EV continues the Moto Guzzi tradition of an Integral Braking System.  A Bosch brake proportioning and delay valve acts simultaneously on the front and rear disc brakes, according to preset values.  In this way, pressure in the hydraulic circuits is modified according to load characteristics.

V11 Sport
Above all, the V11 Sport is a twin-cylinder motorcycle that's all Italian. True to the tradition set by its most celebrated ancestor, the V7 Sport, the V11 isn't just another revival.  Far from it.  With its updated looks and new technology, the V11 has a personality very much its own: a 'naked-retro' style bike with new technical features that will satisfy the most demanding riders.

In its day, the V7 Sport stood as the ultimate expression of the modern sports motorcycle.  It was one of the very few production models capable of exceeding the 200-kph barrier. The V7 Sport combined exceptionally high performance, with high-speed stability and handling beyond compare. It still set the pulse of Guzzi enthusiasts racing.

The V11 has been developed to create the same passion today - the feeling that only a big 90º V-twin can inspire.  It's a bike that's at its best not only on the twisty bends of those typically tortuous Italian mountain roads, but in the city, under the guise of a mean street machine.

In designing the V11 Sport, our engineers worked with two aims in mind: to ensure the highest levels of safety and sports handling while creating significant improvements in engine performance.

The frame received special attention, making the V11 one of the best handling sports produced. The way it responds to corners is rapid and natural and, like a true thoroughbred, it immediately establishes a relationship with the rider. The steering rake angle is one degree sharper than that of the preceding Sport Corsa model (26º to 25º), shortening the wheelbase by 4 mm from 1475 to 1471 mm.

The suspension is of the highest quality: The front end is a 40mm Marzocchi upside-down fork-set with 120 mm travel and hydraulic compression/rebound adjustment. The rear features a cantilever swing arm, and has a single White Power 64 mm stroke single shock absorber with an adjustable compression, rebound and pre-load spring.

The V11 Sport is powered by the classic two-valve pushrod-and-rocker air-cooled 90º V-twin in its latest version, with a displacement of 1064 cc. Performance has been improved throughout the power range by the introduction of a new exhaust geometry and engine management unit mapping, with modifications to both injection and ignition advance timing: maximum power 91 hp at 7800 rpm and maximum torque 72 ft./lbs. at 6000 rpm, resulting in a remarkable top speed of 136 mph, exceptional for a non-faired, naked motorcycle. One of the most significant technical innovations of the V11 Sport (and shared by the V11 Le Mans) is the six speed gearbox.

The V11 also features exclusive design clip-on bars, adjustable in both width and height.  The possibility of customizing the position of the bars allows the rider to adjust riding position to suit the conditions, for either a more urban/relaxed or a more sport/forward position.   Colors Green body and red frame is traditional.  The V11 is also available in two additional color combinations: an elegant metallic silver combined with the red frame, and classic black with the red frame.

V11 Le Mans
Home to endless racing marathons, and many nights at the wheel with alternating drivers, Le Mans is much more than a place.  The name itself is synonymous with a passion for speed and endurance.

Moto Guzzi’s new V11 Le Mans captures this passion and puts it on two wheels.  This machine was born out of the need for performance with greater high-speed driving comfort. With the Model V11 Le Mans, performance remains intact; but the horizons of the driver are expanded.  There is greater overall driving comfort, thanks in part to the aerodynamic protection of a half fairing.  The traditional Moto Guzzi character and looks remain, but with a greater range for longer trips in style and comfort.

In particular, the engineers at Moto Guzzi have worked to increase stability, with a meticulous tuning of the bike’s steering.  In the V11 Le Mans, aerodynamic disturbances do not influence motorcycle performance, affording the driver greater control.  Its sporty spirit does not spare a single ounce of comfort.

The Le Mans is powered by the latest version of the V11 90° V twin engine, with 1064cc cubic capacity and two top valves, controlled by rocker arms and push rods.  The numbers speak clearly: the 91 maximum horsepower is already reached at 7,800 rpm, for acceleration that satisfies even the most demanding drivers. Maximum speed is approximately 136 mph.  The 6-speed transmission has reduced longitudinal overall dimensions (under 70 mm), thanks to the exclusive "four-shaft" system. It features easy and quiet clutch engagement, for immediate sensitivity and confidence. Gear-changing is also quick and precise, through a new mono-plate clutch.

The steel chassis is a Moto Guzzi innovation for 2002, rectangular-section monobeam, with the crankcase performing a semi load-carrying function. Steering deflection precision is guaranteed by the 25° angle of the steering column. The suspension is high-tech, with a Marzocchi USD in the front, having 120 mm range and compression-extension control.

The rear suspension is a cantilever system oscillating large fork, with adjustable multi-stage shock absorber. In other words: absolute stability and impeccable road grip, thanks also to the distinctive configuration of the universal joint transmission, which reduces to a minimum the rear-wheel "lifting" typical in this technical solution.  In addition, a wider rear wheel improves traction and torque delivery to the road.

The wheels are both Brembo alloy rims, 3.5x17" to the front and 5.50x17" to the rear, mounting the latest generation Bridgestone 120/70 2R17 and 180/55 2R17 tires. The braking system utliyzes twin semi-floating 320 mm stainless steel discs with Brembo ORO series 4 opposing piston calipers to the front, and a 282 mm stainless steel disc with Brembo ORO series 2 piston calipers to the rear.

Colors
The design and color scheme of the V11 Le Mans are also new and impressive--the elegant black color of its motor and the front-end forks, the sophisticated sportier designs in LeMans Red and Classic Champagne.

Quota 1100 ES
The Quota 1100 ES is Moto Guzzi's vision of "adventure touring". It makes the promise to take you anywhere, on-road or off.  It will cruise comfortably cross-country on highways, display remarkable agility on twisty mountain backroads, and conquer an unpaved fire road or New York potholes with equal ease.

The Quota grew out of a Moto Guzzi passion for Enduros that was first expressed in the early 1970's with participation in the "Sei Giorni di Regolarita" with the single cylinder Lodola and Stornello.  Those machines evolved but their ruggedness only improved, and it was a Quota 1100 ES that braved crossing Africa on the Carlo Guzzi route from Nuoadhibou to Port Sudan.

The famous Guzzi 1064 CC 90 degree V-twin engine delivers power and torque while the long suspension and larger wheels give the Quota comfort and stability unheard of in standard road bikes.  Wide handlebars and a small fairing further improve drivability.  These "adventure touring" features give the Quota 1100 ES unparalleled quality and handling on the asphalt or across the open countryside.

The Quota 1100 ES enters the field lean and ready for travel.  The weight is a manageable 540 pounds (245 kg), with a fully adjustable suspension system and a seat height of 32 inches (81.3 cm). The aluminum spoke wheels are fitted with Pirelli MT80's.  With a 21 inch front wheel and 17 inch rear, the Quota has exceptional ground clearance and handling for either the twisty paved roads or rough terrain.

Structurally, the Quota makes no compromises, using only top quality components such as Marzocchi front forks, and in the rear a Sachs-Boge mono-shock with adjustable compression and rebound. Front brakes consist of two 296-mm discs in stainless steel with Brembo ORO series twin parallel piston floating calipers and brake pump.  The rear brake is equipped with a single semi-floating 260 mm stainless steel disc with a Brembo twin piston floating caliper. The gearbox is five speeds with a mechanically operated dry, double-disc clutch.

The Quota 1100 ES is designed to uphold the Moto Guzzi tradition of locomotive power, legendary handling and long-term durability.  Whether riding two-up or solo, traveling short or long distances, over rough roads or on smooth highways, the Quota delivers fun, ruggedness and comfort at a great price.
