2007 KAWASAKI KX Models Released (6/1/06)
Kawasaki makes changes to the KX250 & 450F - the 450F is now a 5-SPEED!
The KX450F and KX250F receive changes, the rest of the line remains unchanged.

KX450F - KAWASAKI IMPROVES ITS WORLD SX CHAMPION KX™450F
Kawasaki enhances the dynamic excellence of its world SX championship winning KX™450F motocross machine with a new 5-speed gearbox plus a host of engine and chassis refinements. The 2007 KX450F offers all the dirt-shredding power from last year’s bike, with enhanced bottom end and midrange thrust for even quicker acceleration from the starting gate and stronger drive out of corners. This revised engine tuning is coupled with a new 5-speed transmission to allow greater flexibility in gear selection and increase the rider’s options on the track.

Kawasaki also placed attention upon the KX450F’s frame and suspension. With a change to the frame’s downtube and new fork internals, the ’07 KX 450F boasts improved rear wheel traction and enhanced flickability, to maximize acceleration and offer easier line selection.

The new KX450F will be available in Kawasaki lime green with color matched wheel hubs and aggressive new graphics.

KX450F key features include:

KAWASAKI IMPROVES KX™250F MOTOCROSS BIKE
Kawasaki’s all-new four-stroke KX™250F rose to the top to become one of last years best motocross bikes. For 2007, Kawasaki improves the championship winning KX250F with a host of engine and chassis modifications designed to extend its performance advantage.

Refinements to Kawasaki’s highly acclaimed KX250F make it an even more potent track weapon. The newest KX250F keeps the outstanding top-end power from last year’s bike, but adds a stronger pull from the bottom of its rev range. The upgraded engine is complimented by a strengthened 5-speed transmission and a revised chassis. Increased longitudinal rigidity resulting in lighter, quicker steering.

The new KX250F will be available in Kawasaki lime green with new color matched wheel hubs and aggressive new graphics.

The KX250 should be even better for 2006 as Kawasaki has fine tuned the engine, suspension and brakes. To make this 250 Supercross race winner quieter, the 249cc, liquid-cooled, two stroke engine features a new piston profile, while a longer, wider silencer ensures the KX250 meets modern noise emission standards. Plus, the silencer’s all-new, long-fiber packing is more durable and requires less maintenance. And to keep the KX250 at the best-possible temperature, a new water pump impeller increases coolant circulation.

Changes to the KX250’s chassis include a strong, lightweight Renthal aluminum handlebar, and the rear shock now features dual compression adjustability so riders have more tuning options for both low-speed and high-speed compression damping. Up front, the Kayaba AOS fork has a new, one-piece sleeve to improve suspension action at full compression. For 2006, the KX250 has even stronger stopping power. The new petal-style disc brakes are not only lighter, but their shape helps to clean the brake pads for more efficient braking performance.
